Generally, the cleaning involved in the process of industrial production and labor belongs to industrial cleaning.

According to the different requirements of cleaning accuracy, it is mainly divided into three categories: general industrial cleaning, precision industrial cleaning and ultra-precision industrial cleaning.
General industrial cleaning includes the cleaning of the surfaces of vehicles, ships and airplanes, which can only remove relatively large dirt. Precision industrial cleaning includes cleaning in the processing and production of various products, cleaning of various materials and surfaces, etc., characterized by being able to remove tiny dirt particles. Ultra-precision cleaning includes ultra-precision cleaning of mechanical parts, electronic components, optical components, etc. in the process of precision industrial production, to remove very small dirt particles for the purpose.
In addition to the different cleaning accuracy requirements, it can also be divided into physical cleaning and chemical cleaning according to the different cleaning methods. Using the principles of mechanics, acoustics, optics, electricity and heat, relying on the action of external energy, such as mechanical friction, ultrasonic wave, negative pressure, high pressure impact, ultraviolet ray, steam and other methods to remove dirt on the surface of objects are called physical cleaning. Relying on the action of chemical reaction, the method of removing dirt on the surface of objects with chemicals or other solvents is called chemical cleaning, such as removing rust and scale on the surface of objects with various inorganic or organic acids, use oxidizing agents to remove stains on the surface of objects, and use germicides and disinfectants to kill microorganisms and remove mildew spots. Physical cleaning and chemical cleaning have their own advantages and disadvantages, but also have a good complementarity. In the practical application process, the two are usually combined to obtain a better cleaning effect.
According to the different cleaning media, it can be divided into wet cleaning and dry cleaning: generally, the cleaning in the liquid medium is called wet cleaning, and the cleaning in the medium is called dry cleaning. Most of the traditional cleaning methods are wet cleaning, and people are easier to understand the dry cleaning is the vacuum cleaner. However, in recent years, dry cleaning has developed rapidly, such as laser cleaning, ultraviolet cleaning, plasma cleaning, dry ice cleaning, etc., and has developed rapidly in the field of high-precision industrial technology. In recent years, new technologies have been continuously applied to cleaning technology.
With the development of biotechnology, more and more enzymes and microorganisms are used in cleaning technology, which uses biochemical reactions. In the process of air purification and water treatment, the use of activated carbon is becoming more and more popular, which is the use of adsorption. In addition, there are electrolytic cleaning and the like. Therefore, the cleaning is simply divided into several categories, which can not fully cover the reality of the rapid development of the current cleaning technology.
